DIY Rotating Goal List
Here's an easy way to keep track of the every-rotating lists of goals we all have!
You'll need post-it notes, a pencil, markers, a ruler, and an 11 x 14 inch piece of bristol board or heavy card stock.
Start by sketching out a simple layout with your pencil. I left a half-inch border around the entire design, then added a 4.5 x 10 inch rectangle at the top of the page. Use the bottom section of the page to add six three inch squares, evenly spaced. And one more square inside the rectangle, too!
Now you can use your markers to fill in the design with lettering, doodles, borders, or whatever you like!
Next you need to decide on the time frame for your goals - are these weekly goals, things you want to accomplish this month, this season? It's up to you, and you can always change it because you can switch out the post-it note whenever you like. I decided to make my goals for the week this time.
Now fill in your goal squares with more post-its. You can put the most pressing goals first, and order the rest in terms of importance. Remove the goals as they are accomplished so you can keep track of your progress : )
I used a little silver clip to hang my list where I can see it as I work.
Leave me a comment if you make a list - I'd love to hear about it!

This is such a great idea! I almost want to abandon blogs and go make it right away!
I'm going to make one for This Year, This Month, This Week, and Today! Love it!
Would you consider scanning this into PDF format so we can download it & print it? :) Thanks!!!

Sorry, schmondolina, but I don't have a scanner that will fit an 11 x 14 size... it's really easy to measure out, though, and only takes a few minutes! Give it a try : )
This is super adorable! I will try it--I bet it will be satisfying to pull them off, crinkle them up, and toss in the trash when they've been conquered!
This is brilliant and a great way to exercise our creative minds. Doodles for every task!
cool Rachel this looks like a neat idea!!
Such a simple idea! I started something like this, but used a large poster frame and put the post its on there, but it is so overwhelming b/c I have so many! This looks so much less intimidating! Thanks for sharing!
WOW, this is awesome!!! Found it on Pinterest and it's definitely a must do!! You did a wonderful job - thanks for sharing it!!
What a great idea! This would eliminate my scraps of to do lists that are scattered around my house. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing, it's a good idea !
Found this one Pinterest. Can you say my weekend project and gifts for a few of my virtual assistant clients?
Wow, a big "thank you" to everyone for your nice comments! I'm so glad this project is useful and inspiring to you : )
Rachel this is fantastic! I really, really need this! I've been on a mega hunt recently to find a whiteboard to do this, but I may just have to make one of these instead :)
I love this soooo much! I am totally going to make one tonight if I get home early enough :)
I'm totally using this idea in my classroom with students! Thank you for the explicit directions.
I SO love this! In fact, I'm going to recommend it on my blog as a Blessings Reminder, rather than a goal setting board. Hope you don't mind!
Just wanted to let you know I copied your photo but linked it to your site. If you want to see it and approve it, go to: http://dailyremindersfromgod.blogspot.com/2012/02/as-example.html
Please let me know if you would like me to remove it. However, I do hope you'll approve, as I think it's a brilliant idea and I am giving you the credit.
i love this idea it's exactly what i needed! i have all these list but it would be good to have something i can look at every day :)

Tristine, I jumped to your page and saw your posting from Rachel and I love how you gave her credit but showed another way to use her board. I believed people will be blessed by having the board with whatever they choose to put on it as reminders, blessings, goals, etc. Thank you to both of you for sharing.
Oh my goodness!!! I love love love this idea! This is so perfect for me. This would save me the time of having to write down all my to do's and goals every week. :-)

This is so handy! Thanks so much! I'm always looking how to organize my goals and ACTUALLY complete them. Thanks!
Great Idea! It may need to be my next project. Thanks for sharing.
Love your idea. I am making mine now.
Thank you!
This motivated me so much! I found it on Pinterest and oh man, it was fun to make and nice to hold myself accountable this way. THANK YOU!
This is so precious! I love it.
This is definitely something I'd like to use in my classroom! Students making these for themselves might be life-changing ...
absolutely THE thing I need to get my head, house, and work in order! Thanks!
Cute! Love this idea!
This is awesome! And exactly what I needed.
Your blog, too, is awesome. Newest follower. :)

Adding this to my MUST do list! Such a great idea. I'm doing it for my biz and my kiddos!
Very nice idea. I've been thinking of ideas for a rotating calendar that minimizes waste, & was considering a calendar with a laminated front, so I could use dry-erase markers on it.
But what you've done here is so simple. & I'm sure ripping off the completed to-dos is sooo much more satisfying than wiping it off :)
And I absolutely love the look of the hand-marked 'frames'
Thank you for a simple & beautiful idea
I saw this and immediately wanted to create something like this! Genius! Instead of putting goals on it, I use it for our dinner planner. We shop once a week for groceries. We choose what we want for dinners all week long, and post it on the chart. This way can can change our mind for what we are eating each night!
I made one for me and four as gifts for my friends. They all loved them. Thanks for sharing. Here's my blog post about it!

Such a cute idea! I will totally try this.

What a great idea!! Thanks for sharing with us!
Awesome idea! I will definitely make this!
So cool!!!! I def will be making one of these as I'm moving to another state, trying to sell a house, trying to sell a boat, trying to make sure dd in college in take care of before we move, trying to..........well, you get the idea :-)
This is the best I've seen yet for a weekly, changable "do to" chart!
I'm a very visual person, and require something like this to even REMEMBER what I'm supposed to do, what I need to follow thru on. I've been using a chalk board.....but the mess!
This is awesome! Thank you so much!!!
Found you on pinterest. This is a great idea that can change as needed. Not expensive or time consuming & uses things I already have on hand. Thanks
I love it!!!!!!
with your permission I'll share in my next post:

Greetings.
Patricia.
I made one last night, right when I saw your pic. Here's my list :) http://katecat123.blogspot.com/2012/02/diy-project-bang-nho-mau-sac-what-to-do.html
I really love the simplicity of your idea. Thanks for sharing it. i am going to create something similar in a double frame that I have. One will have goals for my blogs and one will have goals for the week! Thanks for the inspiration! Found you on Pinterest!
I've made one. And DIY in French. ou can see it on my blog, with a link to show that's your idea. (Sorry I don't practise a lot speaking english xD)
I've been reading The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and he suggests planning by the week so this would be perfect!
This is the easiest planning tool that I have come across. Sometimes low-tech is the way to go.
I'm making one on a dry erase board with permanent marker and leave the squares blank to write in with dry erase markers to save paper :)
Love this idea! Thanks so much for sharing!
-Brandy
I'm going to make this and share it with the readers on my blog! I'm definitely going to leave your link so that they can check you out for themselves! Thanks for this super cool idea!

Ooh my goodness, this is SUCH a clever idea - and truly inspirational! Thank you so so much for sharing <3
I love the idea but i'd never keep it up. But it has given me the idea to adapt it for my sons homework, a side for when the work comes in and then a box to move the post its to the done side.
thank you x
I made one in a few different colors for my daughter and both our friends. Thanks for the inspiration!
Rachel,
Thanks so much for such a wonderful idea. I'm not a ruler kind of girl, so I made mine in Paint Shop Pro.

thank you so much for the great idea! I adapted the idea to use in my son's 4th grade class to go along with a book we read about achieving goals. His teacher and I both liked that the post its allow for changes to goals. I used the bottom spaces for the kids to write down steps they can take to move toward a goal that they have. Thanks again!
Hi. I made a Revolving To-Do List based on your Revolving Goal List and I credited you on my blog.

So cute. I made one with a few more goals.
Thanks for the idea :)
I LOVE this idea! The seemingly never-ending list in my 'to do' notebook can get quite overwhelming at times, but THIS, I can handle! :)
Actually, I think it's such a great idea, I'm off to create one for each of my businesses.
Thanks so much for the tip!

I agree with the poster who said it'd be great to have this as a PDF. Not the whole thing, just the panel with the cute "Goal List for" text and the design. Please could you scan that part for those of us who are not as artistic and talented as you? Beautifully done :)
Thank you for this inspiring creation! It is adorable! I just made mine. You can see a pic on my blog allashby.blogspot.com . I linked to your website for instructions.
I loved your idea and i did the french replica !!

Thank you so much for your inspiration, it's useful every day !
Love it! Just made my own little version. I'm not as crafty so it's "computer-crafted" ie Microsoft Word. Haha. I'll have to update you with a pic when I post it to my blog.
Totally doing this today!
I made one! Thanks so much for the inspiration. I needed this! I'm going to make another one for our weekly dinner ideas.
Here's one that you can print on 8.5 x 11. The trick is you have to use the smaller sized post-its. Thanks for the inspiration!

So good!
I love this idea.
Here is what I made inspired by your list.... http://blog.beautyseenphotography.com/?p=699 Thanks for the great idea. Love it! :)
Now, see? I can get behind a project that takes goals and post-its. I love this. Needed this. Adopting and living it starting tonight!
Thank you!
I might have to try this out!
Love it, it's a done deal on Saturday morning. Thanks for sharing this.
You should sell this, for sure. I will never make this, but would love to be able to purchase it. Thanks for the idea!
Thanks so much for the awesome idea! It really helps me alot, and I made it as starwars theme.
Here's my list and I credited you on my blog :)
Have a nice day/night. xx
Found this idea on Pinterest and knew I had to make it. It's exactly what I was looking for to keep myself a bit more organized.
To make mine more sturdy, I laminated it and the post its, then used velcro to attach the post its to the board. I attached a dry erase marker to the side with another piece of velcro. I love it! Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant idea!
Thank you for the inspiration.

And move your notes from one board to the other... Showing your "acheivements" proudly!
Very cute!
Thank you for the inspiration. I sat down and made one digitally, gonna run out and buy some of the smaller post-its and get it into action. Great idea!

This is totally amazing I LOVE it - just what I need right now xx
I love the fact there are only 6 spots for the goals: it makes us pick most important ones so we don't feel overwhelmed.
What a fabulous idea! I can't wait to make one...this would also make a great chore chart.
This is amazing! love it! thank you from heart!!! lOVE, LOVE, LOve!!!

Love it!!! Making one right now. Thank you!!!
Excellent- I have a vision for this for my husband as his "honey do list" and he can just pull those post it's right off after he finishes- I'm sure the crumpling and throwing part should be his fav part. Lol! Thanks!!
This is a really great idea! I have had a poster board and sticky notes set aside for a while now to do a goals board, and when I found your board I knew that is what I wanted it to look like! Thanks so much for the inspiration!!! :)
I just made on using autocad. Looks really cute and now I have one that I can print as needed. Thanks so much!!
Love it! I would love to make this for students! Thanks for the idea.
Great idea! Plus, it keeps your weekly goal list manageable & achievable. :) Thanks!
This is so nice!
I made a version of this tonight (funny that it was the ONLY thing I did of any productive value today)
http://pinterest.com/pin/351210470910289688/
Love it!! I'll steel this for my work :) Thank you!!
I love this. I've been searching for a way to organize my goals, and this is just an adorable and fun way to keep track of them. Definitely making one! Thank you for sharing!
This is one of the best ideas I have seen in a long time and so simple to take care of those naggy little to-do tasks that always seem to forget. I am definitely doing this for me and probably the rest of the family. Thanks for sharing your idea.
This was such a quick and low cost idea. I made mine just a few minutes ago and will be posting my weekly product production goals and the items I want to try on pinterest...just so I'm not pinning projects forever and not implementing them. For my next one, I'm going a little high-tech, going to put decorative duct tape squares on a cookie sheet and use magnets to hold square sheets.
I teach high school ESL and we have been using them to focus our New Years Resolutions into academic goals for this spring semester. The students are really enjoying personalizing the frames AND picking their goals. Thanks for this simple, great idea!
Love this idea! I use dry erase on the bathroom mirror right now, but this is so much easier and I like the fact that you can grab the sticky and throw it away when you are done. Thanks for sharing. I am a new follower! Hope to see you at True Aim.
Wow!!!! I've been searching the internet for an interesting way to write out my goals and this is the best by far! love it!
You design is so cute. Is there anyway to be able to print it out? :)
I saw this on Pinterest and never got around to pinning it cause I had to make it right away. I love how mine came out and I hope I keep up with it. Thanks for sharing!
Haven't done this for myself yet, but I just featured it on my Crafty Saturday blog post! x

Made one last night. Already accomplished three or four things would have spaced out for indefinite amount of time. Saw on Pinterest. Good idea! Thanks.
I saw this on Pinterest and I HAD TO MAKE ONE!!! Thank you so much for posting this! I made goals for the week and for the month and hung them up in my room right by my door. I made a point to find different goals to do for my life and for work. My boyfriend even suggested ideas for him and I to work on together. Thank you again!
I love this! I posted about it on my blog and linked back to here. I hope that's okay with you.
Made a smaller version :D Got lots of goals i want to accomplish so i hope this helps :) thanks for the fabulous DIY idea!
This is an excellent idea! I am going to modify it to fit in my Filofax! Thanks!

This is amazing! Functional and cute...I'm definitely holding onto this one for a future project!
